Introduction to Ayurveda

Introduction to Ayurveda with Maria Radloff

Two of our yoga teacher training courses are now available to the public!

The Sister Science to Yoga

Ayurveda is an ancient (yet completely modern) medical system that focuses on maintaining health and ridding disease. Unlike Western medicine, health is more than just the absence of disease. Health is about having a healthy body of course, but it is also about vitality, a peaceful mind, reliable sense organs, and balanced lifestyle.

While yoga is more about ethics, focusing the mind and conscious living, ayurveda is the practical stuff – creating proper routines and lifestyles, eating the correct diet, making seasonal corrections, exercise and practices, and healing imbalances and the mind.

Learn About

  • the doshas – vata, pitta, kapha
  • proper diet and digestion – agni and ama
  • the 3 mental gunas – sattva, rajas, tamas
  • dinacharya – daily routine
  • and more!
