NURTURING YOUR CREATIVITY ~ SOUND WEAVING BATH & INTUITIVE WRITING WORKSHOP

NURTURING YOUR CREATIVITY

SOUND WEAVING BATH & INTUITIVE WRITING WORKSHOP

With Rebecca Holt and Dr. Masha Shukovich

May 25, 7:00-8:30pm at Centered City Yoga

“Follow your bliss. If you do follow your bliss, you put yourself on a kind of track that has been there all the while waiting for you, and the life you ought to be living is the one you are living. When you can see that, you begin to meet people who are in the field of your bliss, and they open the doors to you. I say, follow your bliss and don’t be afraid, and doors will open where you didn’t know they were going to be. If you follow your bliss, doors will open for you that wouldn’t have opened for anyone else.”

― Joseph Campbell

Come join us Friday, May 25th, from 7-8:30pm at Centered City Yoga for a soulful experience of NURTURING YOUR CREATIVITY. In this workshop, we will be deeply listening to and igniting our creative voice and our unique power of expression through Sound Weaving meditation and the practice of Intuitive Writing.

We will begin the workshop with an awakening Sound Weaving meditation with Rebecca as we relax into the therapeutic waves of the Crystal singing bowls and the deep peace of the present moment.

We will then move into an Intuitive Writing Practice with Dr. Masha Shukovich, as she takes us on a journey of listening to our artistic voice—the voice of our soul. This writing practice does not require you to have an existing writing project or a particular intention beyond the desire to express yourself creatively through writing and moving your pen across the page. This practice is done in a group, with others who also wish to write, and all judgement is left at the door. After we write, we will read to each other without explanations, apologies, or comments. We will allow our creativity to flow freely and ask it no questions. We will use meditation, poetry, and spoken word as gateways into the creative realm.

All you need to bring is a notebook and a free flowing pen that you enjoy writing with, as well as your curiosity and self-kindness. There will be extra notebooks & pens, should you need them.

We will conclude the session with a final relaxation Sound Weaving bath supporting you to move into the weekend feeling inspired and more fully alive in the spark of your own creativity.

A “sound bath” is an immersive, sensory experience, offering the opportunity to turn off the busy mind, open the heart and calm the spirit. A moment in time for you to be enveloped in a wave of therapeutic tones, it’s a session to reset and renew. During the Sound Weaving bath, you will be lying back in a restful space, closing your eyes and relaxing into healing sound. Crystal Singing Bowls produce resonating tones that are heard by the ear and felt in the body, with specific tones supporting the energy centers (chakras) in the body for balancing and meditation. A Sound Weaving bath with Rebecca is an inclusive experience. There is no experience of sound therapy or meditation required to enjoy the benefits. Take your place on a comfortable mat (provided), under a warm blanket, and let the soothing tones of the Crystal Alchemy Singing Bowls wash over you.
