- My favorite style of yoga to teach currently is yin yoga. Slowing down and making everything simple can be rejuvenating and satisfying as well as a struggle in our fast paced lives. Simplifying the poses and breathing is how I try and implement those ideas.
- Teaching restore in a way that is accessible to every level of yogi is important for me and what I try to provide in my restore classes.
And Some Fun Questions
Who have you studied with and who do you consider to be your teachers? Any relevant certifications as well. How long have you been teaching and practicing yoga?
I realized the first time I ever taught yoga was in my first year of college when I was doing an oral presentation on stress/anxiety and part of the presentation was discussing how to reduce it. I was very limited in my yoga knowledge at the time but I had the entire class go through a short simple flow with me. Nine years late yoga teaching circled back around and landed me at the doors of Centered City. I would consider all the staff, past and present, that have taught me something to be my teacher.
