FAQ’s

  • Remove your shoes at the door and change into your clean bare feet. Wear comfortable clothing that will not overheat or overly bind. Please do not wear perfume, and we recommend not wearing makeup or jewelry.

  • Bring water, a towel, and a yoga sticky mat if you have one. You can rent a mat at the studio, or ideally, everyone should—for hygienic reasons—own their own mat. For Restore classes, you may want to bring your own blanket. Do not bring a cell phone, or at least turn it off when you enter. Most important, bring yourself. All you ever need to do is meet yourself where you are.

  • Try these classes first if you are new!

    Restore ~ A light warm-up to stretch yourself out, then truly restoring your soul with relaxing longer held movements into peace and letting go

    Yin ~ Think of it as meditation in various longer held grounding postures, woven together with peaceful moments of easy movement.

    Stiffer bodies ~ If you want to learn more poses and have a more active class, but are concerned about staying energized through the practice.

    Core/Restore ~ Strong, then soft. Work on your strength, and then allow yourself to melt into bliss

    Soft flow ~ All levels systematic stretch, filled with easy unwinding

    Soft flow/restore ~ First half is gentle flowing movement, moving into restoration and letting go to finish.

    Qi Gong/Meditation ~ (not yoga, but a wonderful mindful practice). Try it. You will fall in love!

  • What we have learned over the last 20+ years is that a single class does not convey all the classes, teachers, styles, at any of our studios. This is why we recommend trying for a month so that you truly have an opportunity to experience all we have to offer.

  • Yes, though they are not regularly scheduled we have community classes that are taught by our teacher trainees to give back to the community and deepen their teaching skills. You can find these classes in our class schedule.
